Our commitmentJersey Telecom is committed to providing customers with access to reliable telecommunications solutions and during April 2010 recommence the project to upgrade the fixed line network we provide to the island - to a Next Generation Network (NGN). The upgrade will not only provide the telephony services you enjoy today, but will provide the infrastructure to access new innovative services in the future.When is this happening?The project was temporarily postponed last year to allow further testing to take place and we plan to recommence the project during April 2010. How will this affect your landline?During the upgrade, you will experience a short period of down time (only a few minutes) where your phone line will be out of service. When the upgrade is complete, you may notice a slight variation in your phone's ring and dial tone.How will this affect your broadband? The majority of customer hardware e.g. landline phones & internet routers, will be compatible with the NGN. However in some cases customer hardware may not be compatible.When are we upgrading your area? Please view the NGN Schedule Map - which shows the different areas of the island we are upgrading with estimated dates.
